What is an affiliate?
When you become a Course Technology PTR affiliate, you agree to direct visitors from your Web site to www.courseptr.com for purchase of Course Technology PTR books. In exchange for this, you share in a portion of the profits. Click-through purchases are tracked and your company/site will receive a percentage of each purchase.

How can I become an affiliate?

Course Technology PTR, a division of Cengage Learning, is seeking creative, talented freelance writers for its music line. We are interested in hearing from experienced writers with expertise and ideas in any of the subjects we cover, including:

  • Recording (including studio techniques and technology)
  • Music Technology
  • Music Instruments
  • Music Software
  • Music Business (including music publishing, law, etc.)
  • Musician's interest topics (songwriting, artist profiles, etc.)
  • Music Education

If you have an idea that you would like to submit to our music editors, please send an email to: musiceditorial@cengage.com and be sure to include all of the following in the body of your email:

  1. Your full name.
  2. A list of your most recent published works (books, magazine articles, etc.) if any. If articles or book chapters are available online (and many books are now available on Google) please include direct URL links to them.
  3. Your relevant work experience. Are you currently employed in the music or music instrument industry or press? If so, please elaborate.
  4. A list of specific music-related hardware, software, instruments, or other relevant topics you consider yourself qualified to write about.
  5. A concise explanation of your idea and how you believe it fits in with our current music offerings.
